"Soul Body Works has truly been a turning point for me in my recovery. A little back ground - I'm 34 years old and have had 2 major back surgeries since 2014. The second was supposed to fix the first and ended up leaving me disabled. I woke up from surgery unable to feel or move my left leg. It was pretty bad. Within 24 hours of being home from the hospital I fell and broke my right arm and ended up back in the hospital. That time I stayed for a week. They found a strep infection in my spine and in my leg. I was on an IV antibiotic for 2 months. It took about 6 months for me to be able to walk with a cane. The doctors told me there was nothing else they could do and that my next step was pain management. So... now here I am. I was very fit before my injury and worked out a lot. It's been a huge adjustment trying to physically get through a day and no way I could get back to my former fitness regimen. I'm in constant pain from the failed surgery and femoral nerve damage. I have facet disease and degenerative disc disease. I have arthritis in my hips as well as bulged discs in my back and neck. Anyway, one night I got the crazy idea to find a yoga studio so I could start treating myself for pain with yoga and Pilates. When I didn't show to my appointment Tricia Whitlock called me and I told her my story. We worked very closely and professionally with me knowing I was pretty fragile. I still struggle every day but I am physically getting better. I had a recent set back but I'm back on track and back in the studio. Just walking through the door makes me feel a sense of ease and all the girls there are amazing. When I missed a couple of classes I had several ladies call me just to check on me. These are complete strangers who had only met me a couple of times. They all truly do care. If you've read this far you deserve a gold star. I know it's a super long post. I just want to share my experience so if there is any one out there who is struggling physically just know that at Soul Body Works you're in great hands."

Mat classes (maximum 8 students) are a great option for a solid workout and a safe, effective way to become more fit and flexible. Ideal for intermediate to advanced practitioners.
Group Equipment classes (maximum 6 students) at Soul Body Works offer specialized lessons in an intimate setting. Our studio is equipped to give you a full equipment experience, with an array of props and equipment (Reformer, Tower, Chair, Trapeze Table, Barrel), so you will learn the full value of the Pilates Method, how to use your body more effectively, and focus your mind for improved health and fitness.
We organize group classes so students are at compatible levels of fitness and understanding of the exercises. Because each group is limited in size, you'll get individualized attention. Plus, groups are fun and motivating, since you develop an ongoing relationship with your instructor and the other students in your group! To give you optimum results and a thorough understanding of our work, we generally require a minimum of 3 - 5 private sessions prior to joining a group for those without previous Pilates experience.

One-on-one sessions are a great way to advance your practice by having a trained eye on your body. Available alone or with any other package we offer.
Duets and trios (groups of 2 or 3) are are great on their own or in combination with self-practice hours and group classes, allowing more focus on you and your partner than in a group class. These pairings are often done by studio instructors to closely match skill levels and abilities for maximum benefit.
A fast-paced and independent style workout utilizing all the studio equipment and designed for those who are practicing at an intermediate or advanced level.
We recommend scheduling an introductory private session first. To execute Pilates exercises correctly there is a lot of information to remember. Private sessions will ensure that you get a good foundation in how the exercises should be performed, as well as provide knowledge of any modifications that you might need due to injuries or ailments. Having this solid foundation will provide greater benefits should you choose to do group classes later.
